Colonial theater to present "Urinetown"

The Robert Morris Colonial Theatre will be presenting their next show, "Urinetown," which won a Tony Award for Best Score, given for best music of the year, in 2002, in Massey Theater Feb 24-27 at 8 p.m. and on the 28 at 2 p.m.

"Urinetown" is a satire of political and social issues.

Mansourian named new director of international programs

Ida Mansourian was recently appointed the Executive Director of International Programs at Robert Morris University. She officially begins work on Monday, March 1.
Mansourian, born and raised in Tehran, Iran, has a great deal of experience with studying abroad, visiting different countries, and experiencing different cultures.

Lack of parking due to campus events

A few times every semester both students and facility alike are surprised at the lack of parking in their normal lots. This cause for some frustration is due to special events held all around campus, but mostly at the Sewall Center.

"In most cases, we at Conference and Facility Services contact campus safety and the campus police to make them aware of the congestion issue that will face the commuters," stated the Event Manger, Michael Yuhas.

Phi Sigma Kappa aids families in need

Phi Sigma Kappa, a Greek organization on campus, recently organized a food drive to aid the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank in its efforts to provide many families with food.

"Altogether, 420 pounds of food were raised to help the thousands of people living in poverty and those living on the edge of poverty in southwestern Pennsylvania," stated the President of Phi Sigma Kappa, Jon Becht.

Video athletic league opens franchise in Pittsburgh

The Robert Morris University Colonials opened up the 2010 season with a 14-4 loss to the Navy Midshipmen last week. Navy scored the first five goals of the contest and never looked back as they cruised to the commanding victory.

Sophomore Colleen O'Donnell led the Colonials with a pair of goals and senior Alana Beck and junior Ashley Trombetta each added one score in the contest.
