While the Health Care Reform Act has been a nationalized topic of controversy, the foreseen effects of universal health care lie in the midst of heated opinions and debates. Despite the controversy, the effects of the Health Care Reform Act promise to reach a national level, as well as the Robert Morris University community.

Rice has been rumored as a candidate for numerous coaching jobs since RMU's overtime loss to Villanova in the first round of NCAA Tournament play, including Seton Hall, Rutgers and Tulane, all of which he respectfully declined.
