RMU raising funds for Haiti

Jan. 12 was more than a bad day for Haitians. A 7.0 magnitude earthquake struck, and life as they know it was changed forever. The earthquake in Haiti has all but destroyed nearly one million lives, and counting. With a death toll exceeding 150,000, a total of 193,000 wounded, and 609,000 people left homeless, the amount of aid needed continues to grow.

On any given day, any team can beat any other team. That's what happened for the men's ice hockey team a few weeks ago - twice. On Jan. 8, in front of 3,700 at Mellon Arena during the College Hockey Showcase, the Colonials pulled off what seemed to be an impossible task for a 3-12-2 team (at the time) to do.
